Squat Form Monitor

Watches your squat. Stops you before form breaks.

What it measures

You do bodyweight squats. The app tracks your knees, hips, and ankles every frame. It detects four things: knee valgus (knees caving inward), depth (hip below or above the knee line), left/right asymmetry, and rep-over-rep form drift. When any of those crosses the safety threshold, it tells you to stop.

Why it matters

The set after your form breaks doesn't make you stronger — it makes you more likely to get hurt. Modern strength coaches use Velocity-Based Training: stop the set when bar speed drops 20%. We apply the same principle to bodyweight form: stop when your knees start collapsing or your tempo doubles. Quality reps build athletes; junk reps build injuries.

How to do it

  1. 1Set your phone 2 meters in front of you, lens at hip height. Face the camera.
  2. 2Stand fully in frame. The app verifies it can see your knees, hips, and shoulders.
  3. 3Squat at a controlled tempo. The app calibrates a baseline 'good rep' from your first 2 reps.
  4. 4Keep going. The voice will alert you the moment a metric drifts — knee valgus, lost depth, asymmetry.
  5. 5When form breaks consistently, the voice says 'Stop. Form broken on rep N.' Set ends.
